Neuroimaging Experiments
How do I know if I am eligible for neuroimaging experiments? The risks of MRI scans are minimal. However, you should not participate if you have claustrophobia, have orthodontic braces, or metallic implants and fragments in your body. The complete safety screening form is available here.
I have signed up for a session, what's next?
We will call you and confirm your availability, as well as go through the safety screening. To ensure that we will have at least 1 eligible participant, we will allow up to 3 people to sign up. We will then call in the order of the signups to determine the actual participant. We will notify those who were not selected and try to schedule for a later time.
I'm confirmed but something came up, can I reschedule?
We strongly prefer that you do not unless it is an emergency. You are the only participant scheduled for a particular session. Therefore a late cancellation results in a wasted experimental session. If you foresee potential conflicts, please tell us so that we can find you a better slot in the future rather than risking having to cancel last minute.
Where are the experiments located?
All of our neuroimaging experiments are located at the Beckman Imaging Center. It is south of Florida Avenue and off Lincoln Blvd. A map is below. Do not try to turn onto Goodwin from Florida as suggested by Google Maps. Use Hazelwood Dr instead.
